Amy's chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • ¾ cup treacle sugar

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 egg

  • 2 ¼ cup flour

  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Beat the sugars, butter, vanilla and egg
  • Add dry ingredients and mix well
  • Add nuts and choc chips
  • Spoon onto a baking tray (lined) leaving lots of space between to allow spreading
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, the cookies won't be crisp when then are removed from the oven
  • Leave to cool on tray
